(It is hard to accurately rate the difficulty of a sea kayaking trip. Much of the challenge is
determined by the weather and the strength and experience level of the group. Energetic people and those who
like being active, should be able to enjoy and participate fully in this trip).
One of the best expeditions to explore remote coves and inlets, experience
excellent snorkeling, hike in hidden canyons full of fascinating geology, and even visit a few
small villages, to sample a bit of local history and culture.
The camps will mostly change daily and our motorized support boat carries
all camping equipment, personal gear, and the makings for delicious meals. There are also fresh
The crew handles most camp chores and prepares all meals. Our expert guides
share their knowledge of the area as they paddle with you, and lead nature hikes and snorkeling
explorations. The journey ends with a nose-to-whiskers encounter with the sea lions of “Los Islotes”.
Expedition Day 1
Arrive in Loreto, Mexico
Upon the arrival in Loreto, taxi (about $20.00) to the Hacienda Suites, Loreto’s hotel
built in an authentic Mexican Hacienda style, in a beautiful garden setting. Check-in and
day at leisure to explore Loreto. You’ll meet your guide either tonight or the next day.Overnight. (No meals)
Expedition Day 2
Boat transfer from Loreto to first camp
After breakfast, you’ll take the Baja Expeditions van to Puerto Escondido where you’ll board the
“Pez Sapo”, which will take you to the first camp on the Baja coast. Once there, orientation to the
amenities, safety instructions (including the “wet exit”) and for those who are new to sea kayaking,
the basics of paddling techniques. On the very first short paddle you will stay close to the camp. (B/L/D)

10 days and 9 nights with 7 full days of kayaking or other activities like hiking and snorkeling

Expedition Days 3 - 6
Loreto to Espiritu Santo Island
The days begin with spectacular, colorful sunrises. Early risers can enjoy bird watching at
its early morning best, delighting in the antics of the brown- and blue-footed boobies and the
graceful brown pelicans who fish the waters.
The kayaking will last an average of four to five hours each day, doing most of the
paddling in the morning. Our support boat is always conveniently nearby. In the afternoon,
lots of optional activities are possible, such as hiking, snorkeling, swimming or just relaxing.
In the evenings, to celebrate the day, a Happy Hour cocktail and a delicious Mexican meal are
served as the sun sets on the horizon. (B/L/D daily)
Expedition Days 7 - 8
Espiritu Santo Island
You will spend two nights at our base camp on the island of Espiritu Santo.
Kayak, snorkel, hike, look, hear, feel, breathe, enjoy, relax, eat, drink, sleep.
Repeat daily. (B/L/D daily)
Expedition Day 9
After breakfast there will be some time for one last paddle
before going to the lovely town of La Paz, the capital of Baja
California Sur. Arrival in the afternoon. Evening at leisure to
explore the city’s charming promenade and dine in one of the many
fine restaurants. Spend your last night at Hotel Marina.(B/L)
Expedition Day 10
La Paz Departure
Take a taxi to La Paz airport ($25). (No meals) Taxis are available at the hotel 7 days a week, 24 hours.
A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to reserve space in the camp.
Final balance is due at 60 days prior to departure date. A charter agreement will be
sent to you upon confirmation of your charter date.
