BE Custom Exploration on Catamaran El Mechudo
Our live-aboard sailing Catamaran El Mechudo offers a versatile, comfortable vessel that is perfect for navigating a customized itinerary designed by you and your group. El Mechudo was baptized after that section of coastline and the local legend of the same name. Our crew can fill you in on the lore of El Mechudo! The boat offers comfortable amenities so you can explore the Sea of Cortez with your group of up to 10 passengers. You customize your trip dates, length, and itinerary of activities. Scientific research? Wildlife photography? Strategic planning under sail? A high school reunion? Time with family? Perfect.
Using the 45-foot catamaran as your floating base, choose your daily adventures as you explore the stunning coastlines and the contrasts between the desert and sea. At anchor, hop on a paddleboard or kayak to explore the mangroves, then hike up desert canyons, or swim and snorkel with schools of tropical fish. A portion of proceeds from all of our programming supports local research, conservation, and education efforts.
This expedition is available from October to August. Perfect for families, active folks and groups, this live-aboard expedition allows you to move around and explore the sea, and also enjoy kayaking, stand-up paddling, snorkeling and diving. You and your group can design a trip for structured team-building, reflection or that much-need down time with family and friends! Our flexible itinerary facilitates a variety of activities to match your interests and diverse abilities, and can be as active or as relaxing as you choose. Enjoy delicious catered meals prepared on board with fresh local ingredients.
