Explore what many people have termed, the Mexican Galapagos, the protected islands of the Gulf of California. On this 9 night, 10 day expedition, you will be amazed by the geology, ecology, and history of the islands and coastal areas. Our expert natural guides and crew lead you to a diversity of sites as we will camp at the islands of Espiritu Santo and San Jose. Visit small, isolated villages where you can meet local island communities and purchase souvenirs. Kayak and snorkel with playful sea lions, watch as dolphins frolic around your kayak, and spot morbula rays migrating as they leap from the water by the hundreds. Bird lovers will be mesmerized by the diversity and shear size of the coastal bird species as you pass by their breeding colonies and resting spots or as they hover above you riding thermals.
