Highlighted Partnership – Ecology Project International (EPI)
Ecology Project International (EPI) is a nonprofit, educational organization whose mission is to improve and inspire science education and conservation efforts worldwide through field-based student-scientist partnerships. Their vision is to create an ecologically literate society where the world's youth are empowered to take an active role in conservation.
We are pleased to have collaborated with EPI Mexico for over a decade! Thanks to the contributions of Baja Expeditions visitors from all over the world, we have been able to subsidize Eco Camps and research voyages for thousands of local youth from La Paz and Baja California Sur. These young people and their teachers have helped support Island Ecology and Marine Mammal research initiatives by local scientists to impressive results, and are continuing to be an active force for positive change in the greater community.
Check out some data from EPI Mexico’s recent research efforts!
