Destination Overview

Isla Espiritu Santo (La Paz)

Eco Camp on Espiritu Santo Island

First we helped save Isla Espiritu Santo from being turned into a casino resort, click for story, and then we turned our efforts towards introducing the beauty and peacefulness of this remarkable island to like minded people with a “zero footprint” eco-experience camp.

This “pop-up” camp is our homage to company founder Timo Means. We set up for a maximum of 6 relaxing wonderful days and then everything gets packed up and shipped back to La Paz. Is it a glamping or luxury camp with hot and cold running water and shower and bathroom in every tent? Unfortunately no, that’s not possible in a “pop-up” tent and it’s not what Timo had in mind for Espiritu Santo.

Excellence in Guest Experience

What we can promise you is excellence in guest experience and a warm, friendly and highly experienced staff doing everything possible for you. Great tents. Fine linen. Very comfortable beds. Champagne on a silver tray served to you on the beach at arrival at camp. We say that the hypnotizing night sky makes this far more than 5 star accommodation!

Activities are virtually unlimited. Kayaking. Paddle boarding. Scuba diving. Swimming with whale sharks. Snorkelling with sea lions. Hiking across the desert island with a naturalist. Relaxing under a beach tent with a cold drink and a good book. Whatever you want!

INSIDER TIP

April and May are especially popular when giant schools of mobula rays aggregate in the surrounding waters. You’ll see the rays all day long and hear them leaping out of the water and landing with a “smack” at night. We love heading out to snorkel with them during the day. And we have a special park permit to use lights to snorkel with the rays at night (permit is subject to annual renewal).
