Liveaboard Baja Diving
Enjoy an exclusive, catered diving expedition with an experienced divemaster and crew aboard our 45-foot sailing Catamaran El Mechudo. We visit many of the best dive sites in the area, and might explore El Bajo, Salvatierra, Swanee Reef, Los Islotes California sea lion rookery off Isla Espiritu Santo, and much more. There is even a unique underwater art installation turned natural reef to explore — our company founder was a key consultant on the placement of the work! Our week-long itineraries allow you to visit sites that have earned the Sea of Cortez its moniker as the Aquarium of the World, its increasing protected status and its growing, worldwide reputation for diving excellence. A portion of the proceeds from your expedition goes to support local environmental education and conservation research programming.
At your request, we can arrange for rescue, advanced, and instructor training courses aboard the catamaran. El Mechudo has 4 cabins with heads. The fourth cabin head is shared with crew, lowering the price somewhat. Each cabin has one double bed, and the two forward cabins also have a single bed in the pontoon. Price includes deluxe shipboard accommodations on nights 1 - 6 and a hotel in La Paz on night 7. We typically offer 2 to 3 dives per day during the trip, with a total of 5 1/2 days diving. Rental of regulator and BCD is separate.Questions? Contact us
