Captain’s Noon Reports – Mango Wind– 2023-06-02

Yesterday was nice after an evening with the mobulas at Punta Arenas. Nice clear skies, wind from the NE 10knots, water temp 77F, visibility 50ft.

Last night we were up on the bow watching the moon come up, a calm peaceful anchorage with some margaritas. What more can we ask for?

This morning the sun was up at 5.55 with intense light and brightness. The mobulas sounded like popcorn popping all over. Had some dolphin playing today also. The guests really wanted to see the snorkelers so they got into the water and sure enough, the dolphins were waiting for them.

The weather has been nice so we did a dive at Roca Montana. The visibility was 70ft with water temp 78F.

We came up against lots of cool nudibranchs and loads of fish swimming through. So now we are at anchor in a nice calm spot just to enjoy the moon rise again. Let’s see what’s in store for us tomorrow. Hope for the orcas to pass through again tomorrow.
