Our camp is located in San Ignacio Lagoon, one of three birthing and breeding gray whale lagoons in the world. Every winter, grey whales migrate from Alaska to give birth in the San Ignacio Lagoon.
Why do these whales choose to interact with us? Is it curiosity? Is there some sort of survival strategy? We don’t have a definite answer, what we do know is that interaction is entirely on the whales’ terms and that you will create a deeply personal connection that will stay with you for a lifetime.
